About the HIEDC

Who we are

The Hobart Economic Development Corporation (HIEDC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to connect generous people and organizations with high-impact projects in Hobart, Indiana.

Working alongside the City of Hobart and local partners, the Hobart Industrial Economic Development Corporation (HIEDC) raises charitable dollars and directs them to projects that improve quality of life, support economic development, and build civic pride.

Our long-term resources are managed through the Hobart Community Fund, an endowment administered by the Legacy Foundation. Earnings from this fund help ensure that Hobart will have a reliable source of support for community needs—today and for generations to come.

Our Mission

Building a better Hobart together

The Hobart Economic Development Corporation is dedicated to strengthening our community by investing in projects and partnerships that enrich the lives of Hobart residents. Through collaboration with the City of Hobart and local organizations, we promote growth, unity, and civic pride. By building and managing a lasting endowment fund, we ensure ongoing support for initiatives that create a brighter, more vibrant Hobart—today and for generations to come.

Citywide donations

Hundreds of contributions to parks, playgrounds, civic organizations, youth programs, and community projects across the city.
